Atheism to me merely denies the existence of an all-powerful separate God, the great bearded man in the sky.

By that measure, I am an Atheist.

However, I do not deny the possibility of the existence of the spirit, nor the possibility of paranormal, metaphysical, or miraculous things.

I Agree with nixed

In religious terms you are an Atheist (by other peoples prejudices) when you dont belive in the God of a mainstream religion - would go as far as to say that most Christians and Muslims would class anyone who desnt belive in their God as an Atheist.

easy question efine God or god then tell me I'm an atheist.

If your wondering I'm a Pantheistic Christian Gnostic - anyone want to join my cult?

My Commandments

Excellent!!!

I'm sure the Christians, Jews and Mohammedans on this board won't like those facts, but they shouldn't be so sensitive to the truth.

By that definition I'm an atheist too - but i'll go that extra step and say "I don't believe in spirits, ghosts, miracles or pseudo-scientific new age mumbo jumbo".

peace

Since when does God = bearded man in the sky. Is there any description of God in the Bible, by the way?
S/he/It made everyhting so he is going to be a bit more than an aging man isnt he? We always define by own foolish man made terms. If there are shapeshifting lizards running the planet then why isnt God also formless or able to incarnate into different bodies?
I think those pictures painted by the royal freemason artists had really got to Nixed.
More propaganda to divert people away from God and towards the God of money.
ps
I know an atheist norwegian too.

then again you must take into account the fact that just because you believe that a God exists, or - to put that in better words - if you aren't an atheist, it does not necessarily mean you will follow the laws of your God(s).

Look at how many Americans claim to be christian yet they are not loving their neighbors as their savior commanded them to. This comic is not only a tool of propaganda but a horribly drawn one.

+1

Psa 82:6 I have said, Ye [are] gods; and all of you [are] children of the most High.

Conspiracies would not be needed if people would simply open their eyes to the truths in front of them.

itmakesmewonder, I simply disagree with the idea of an all-powerful separate God, the God of vengeance, Yahweh the jealous God, of fire and brimstone, "ye shall have no false gods before me" etc.

Honestly, Yahweh sounds more like a demon than a God, to me.

I think it far more likely that "God" is literally the universe and everything in it, and we see "God's" will in the fundamental laws of the universe, gravitation, laws of motion and inertia, creation, nature, etc.

Seems to me this is the fundamental difference in types of religion: either God is separate, or God is intrinsically connected. Monotheism vs. Pantheism. Along with Pantheism goes a very practical and natural assessment of one's being and place in the cosmos.

It seems furthermore that it is subjective thinking, i.e. "I, they" or "me vs. you" that causes the ego to create a separate God.

air, gravity, atoms, water
these are some other things that can be both inside and outside, simultaneously.

It is said there is no Christian Gold, Jewish Gold or Muslim Gold.
Gold is pure and retains that, wherever it is found.
There is only one, but it has many names for different circumstances in different ages and peoples.
Fear of God is just like todays climate change. Propaganda to keep every shaking in their boots.

"1) God is one and everything is in Him and He is in everything.

2) To render transcendental service unto God is to serve everything that be, just like to water the root of the tree is to water the different branches and numerous leaves of the tree or to supply food to the stomach is to vitalize all the senses and the sense organs of the body.

3) The parts are automatically served when the Whole is served but when the parts are served the whole may not be served or not served at all.

4) The parts and the Whole being eternally related, it is the eternal duty of the parts to render service unto the Whole."

To clarify Atheist means that you deny the existence of gods. Some of that stuff may fit in there.

I think people confuse atheism with nihilism.

If a Christian does not pay the New World Order tax but, uses it's currency, they still account for the war set by the New World Order against their own principle but... if they do render unto Caesar what is Caesar's', they are not accused by the law. The fault lies with all the Nations and people tied to the false church. How is this? The money that is not paid, not taxed, forces the will of the false church to be paid by all people, rich and poor, free and bond. This is the nature of the free market and the border-less principle cause and affect with out respect for individual liberty, justice for all... The New World Order is now assimilating all nations under the force of the global market free trade system... so everyone is bonded with a universal account that has no choice but to buy sell and trade with currency tainted by religious and other tax exempt institutions that force others to pay an inflated price, robing principle from their labor and the Spirit of freedom, God in Christ... You may not accept this prophetic reality defined in scripture but, the principle reality is real. The rich and the general public are assuring the poor remain bonded by New World Order principle, the will of man as law...

I might ask, what do we call gods, and could we instead call them extra- or ultra-terrestrials? Here it is a matter of perspective.
