Whoever put that list together is going to have an impossible time defending it. I've clicked on about 10 random links for far and most of it is weak and speculative. One story even suggests CC is a tax racket - which of course it is, in part.

I'm not at all sure they'll be trying to defend it. It reads to me has having been compiled very tongue in cheek (seen in the best light) and just plain taking the p..s out of the Global Warming fraternity in the worst.

I agree entirely Rosebery. I wanted to say more initially but I decided to wait for someone to support my earlier comment in order to appear less antagonistic! You see, deep down I'm getting a little battle weary of these types of OPs, ie no comment, just a link to some links representing an investment of several hours effort for the reader. That in itself is hardly a crime but it can be construed as obfuscation if even at the end the reader is none the wiser.

Now I have absolutely no desire to attack SE, but for me, this post is more likely to elicit apathy than anything else - and although I knew it would take two posts to do it, that was the point I wanted to get across. I know for example, that a small percentage of readers will not click any of the links and these worry me most of all - because the TITLE of the piece seems to confirm that there's a wealth of evidence in support of global warming. Now I'm not saying there isn't, BUT, while the conscious mind of the less committed reader says something like "sod reading all that", the unconscious mind registers something along the lines of "there's clearly a lot of stuff here so I'm obviously in no position to make a valid judgement or get to the bottom of it". (Hence my first comment, which undermines the whole to avoid this). In other words then, (according to me at least!) posts like this promote ignorance - although as I've indicated, I'm not suggesting SerialExplain intended such an outcome by design.

My take on ANYTHING that contains substantive or unsubstantive material to read on global warming could only be something that a researcher, and face it if you have an interest and a PC, would be compelling enough considering the state of how it most definitely is affecting people daily and will continue to do so. Not getting to the bottom of what the issues at hand are is not caring about the planet and its inhabitants. I can understand that there are various needs to make light of the issue and that it is heavily politically weighted. However, this is the proper forum for reviewing such material isn't it?

Hmm...concen contains nothing but links to important pieces of research. Just because I linked it and it was not copyed on a page should mean veritably nothing.

Nevertheless, of course parts of it were tongue and cheek, but sometimes you have to view all angles. That particular site contained a lot of links. That to me is a quality piece for research purposes.

PS: Personally I prefer people to link out to an article as you did. I often paste a paragraph or two of something to set a scene, but like you I've never been a fan of huge c&p paste fests! Some of the threads on Concen are quite daunting and hard to follow.

Let’s talk about what causes GLOBAL WARMING.

In listening to Mark Levin’s Friday (Feb 12) show he was going over a list of all the things that “supposedly” cause GLOBAL WARMING. I was doubtful that he was actually talking about something legitimate by the sound of some of the things he was listing. But doing a little research based on what information he was giving out I found the very list that he was referring to.

Here is the list for those of you who would be curiously interested in some of the ridiculous things they attribute to the facade of GLOBAL WARMING. This is the kind of stuff you would find in Grocery Store Rag Mags.

This in itself shows anyone how stupid the “THEORY” of Global Warming is. But I guess if you try hard enough you can say that this list is for “ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY”.

There is the micro cycle of the earth rotating every 24 hours causing day and night. There is a larger cycle of the earth wobbling on it's axis causing winter and summer to exchange every 365 days from the northern to southern hemisphere. Then there are two even larger cycles as the elliptical orbit of the earth gets further out of reach from the sun, and also the wobble of the actual elliptical orbit itself, causing even further distances.

Stir all these things together and add in the Sun's solar cycles, and you have constant climate change having nothing whatsoever to do with the existence of man. What you DO have are very powerful agendas that take advantage of humanity's ignorance of these things, convincing them that Man is destroying the earth (only to be fixed by control and massive global taxes).

however.... we have known this for quite a long time. If you take that data and match it to actual data you will find it does not match up.Take the data from human intervention on our earth's atmosphere and you will see that it too does not match.

however if you combine the data of both you will find an almost perfect match. this is as simple as it gets.

however when making our judgements I find people in here let their own agendas guide their research. every time there is a spike on the readings all the sceptics fall silent. then one cold month and all up in arms "SEE!!!?!?, ITS ALL A LIE!!"

I've noticed that no one is talking about the effects of chemtrails which TPTB are spraying on a 24/7 basis. Think about that for two seconds! The only scientists receiving any corpse media play never mention chemtrails. Ergo, this is another "Omission Comission" investigation. Just more bullshit PH&D.

The greenhouse effect, is mainly caused by greenhouse gases (notably C02, Methane, Nitrous Oxide and CFC-12) at 16-42% (CO2 accounting for 8-26%) and water vapour at 36–72%. These are the IPCC AR4 numbers. They attribute 1% to volcanoes. Man releases ~20 GT of CO2 in to the atmosphere annually, 30% of it is absorbed by the ecosystem almost immediately, the rest within 3 years. Rotting biomass emits ~320 GT of CO2 every year. The Atmosphere contains 3000+ GT of CO2 at any given time. The oceans serve as a massive carbon sink and no encompassing study has been done to quantify it's role.
