UK Anti-fascists clash with right-wing protesters in Birmingham
Not necessarily. I don't doubt that there are ppl amongst these groups that have actually read the tenets of national socialism and find the ideology compelling to them personally and would procliam as such or perhaps some compelled towards it somewhat by peers who might also identify with it *shrug* but I don't think that every fascist in the terms of this group is going to be an self-actualised national socialist and many probably are just thinking essentially on the bullet points.. 'ie. muslims out' and 'traditionalism'. I can't see this movement just appeared without a backing and membership from those pre-existing organisations that possess similar political goals..some of which, would much more likely be correctly identified as national socialist in ideology IMO the representation of that will be there..but as seen from photographs of the recent demonstration in Birminghamthere are Israeli flags being carried amongst the EDL - this in itself, in terms of membership; if we make no for granted presumption of the connection, could be construed as a reasonable vector to intersect with Nick Griffin's new reformulised pro zionist BNP members base.
I don't know if they've given any statements to the effect of what they think of Moseley on their site. When it comes to the third reich I'm pretty sure any mention would me a nono in their PR mantra. The NPD are well known to have close links to the BNP so that would possibly to be another contributing factor too toward any overspill of that particular political ideology into the general base of information circulating around EDL networks, I guess. |
