LOL I am a bit young to remember UK political events of the middle seventies with much clarity, but having said that I would imagine that the 3 day week prolly had as much affect as ITV going on strike, if not more.

Besides that,IMHO it is entirely specious to suggest Africans have a higher birth rate due to lack of television>

I wartched the vid. mexica. Yeah, pretty shocking and grim indeed. Although it is probably relevant to remember that genocidal policies are not limited to the history of the European. ie very important for your quasi racist critiqueing.

I have been thinking about this Birth rate thing. I remember getting that info from a docu. explaining how the africans are being stoped from even having electricity by claiming environmental issues. It also proved that as a nation industrialises the birth rate drops. My Grandad was one of 13!

edit: must add I've seen an aid hut set up that was denied electricity but allowed a very expensive solar panel. They had to choose between powering a light bulb or the fridge that kept the medicines fresh, they did not have enough power for both! Now when you consider the excesses we live in, how fucking hypocritical are these assholes?

IMO electricity plays an important role (Id hate to think TV was essential). But education is more important. Also disposable income for something to do and the easy availability of contraception, although me and my wife are doing ok without using it! Just dont have any during the vital week and always exit before the finali:)

As usual the blame can be laid with the west as we converted lots of them to catholicism and then told them contraception was a sin.

On the note of the Indians, I am well aware of what was done to them. Making General Custer into a hero was like rubbing salt into the wounds, that man was an animal. He even promised a village it could go hunt and be safe then went and slaughtered them while the braves were gone. Scrotums were used as tobacco pouches and womens vaginas were removed(can't remember what they were used for). And all we hear about was how barbaric the scalping that the indians did was!
