Sharia law in UK is 'unavoidable'
Well separation of church and state has always been a misnomer -- technology is the REAL religion worshipped by all the monotheistic religions.

Sharia law in UK is 'unavoidable'
They tried to institute sharia law in Ontario.. a Canadian province... it was blown out of the water by the people. I wouldn't worry too much.

i just found it fascinating that this comes from the Archbishop of Canterbury.
the head of the church of england. interestingly, religious courts are already in use in the UK. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7233040.stm |

I'm surprised people think it's a problem. I'm typing from a Somalian cafe and the huge Somalian community in Minneapolis relies on Sharia law -- it's just a part of the community -- no big deal.

If they choose to resolve disputes amongst themselves, fine. To build court houses and such on my dime? No way Jose. |

Sharia law in UK is 'unavoidable'
Reminds me of the Legal Magistrate in Solomon Islands -- a protectorate of the Commonwealth -- at least when Gavin Young visited there in the mid 1980s. Read "Slow Boats Home." Great travel book! Some of those head-hunter tribes still didn't let the police through their village although they "respected" the judge. The magistrate didn't push them on this insistence for autonomy. haha.

Quote:this is just ANOTHER way to get people scared about MuslimAgree! Salem Kirban quotes Weishaupt gloating over his successes in a letter to Illuminatus Cato: The most admirable thing of all is that great Protestant and reformed theologians [Lutherans and Calvinists] who belong to our Order really believe they see in it the true and genuine mind of the Christian religion. Oh man, what can not you be brought to believe? These people swell our numbers and fill our treasury; get busy and make these people nibble at our bait.. .but do not tell them our secrets. They must be made to believe that the low degree that they have reached is the highest |
