Bonobo Chimps
The Bonobo Chimpanzee is remarkably non-animal. They have well-developed long legs which they will walk on if carrying things in their hands, such as rocks and twigs they use for cracking nuts and fishing for termites. Unlike standard chimps, who will use a termite fishing twig and then discard it when finished, Bonobos will hang on to useful twigs for later use.
Bonobos have a remarkably non-violent social structure based on sex rather than violence. In Chimp "society," hierarchical battles like lower social groups such as canines and sexual competition based violence is common. Even cannibalism and "gang warfare" are endemic of chimpanzees. Bonobos on the other hand, use bisexual, short sexual stimulation to mend fences and avoid conflict. Here are some fascinating videos regarding the Bonobo. Chatting with Bonobos Note: for the easily offended, avert your eyes during the Bonobo three-way, it's just what they do. Chimp plays Pac-Man Japanese Actor Bonobo Makes Noodles The last video is a little ridiculous, and you could say exploitative, but remarkable nonetheless. While he obviously needs a little instruction, this brilliant Bonobo makes noodles from scratch. It's brilliant television, and funny as hell, well it was last night when I was piss drunk and stoned! I just wanted to cast some light on this scarcely understood creature. For anyone who feels humanity is far removed from the animal world should really watch these fascinating little people for a while. Peace. &We grow to recognize form. We grow to label that form.
