Photo Need T-shirt idea
Hello again friends,

So i've designed some t-shirts i think you guys would appreciate. I'll post a photo of one in real life as soon as i have one printed. I've done some before and they came out pretty nice (i use only white and pale gray - black is from the shirt ofc)
So i'll post some designs here:

You get the idea - So i wanted to ask you if you have some good quotes i could use, or just give me your opinion on this design. (I can't find a big photo of Terrence Mckenna and i'm still working on Orwell)

Thank you all.

Nice to see the artist back in the virtual village.

I like the angle you're taking in associating liberty with anarchy. Just a suggestion, but it would be good to go with a 2 pronged approach to combine an anarchistic (edit: I thought that was wrong but I got lazy spell checking and assumed it was close enough - obviously not - ty nik) message with peace as it is so often linked to chaotic violence. Maybe Gandhi, a dove or something can be worked into the design. Some personality or symbolic meme more closely associated with peace and liberty, something universally recognized.

Allow me to acquaint you with the several quotes threads running on ConCen.

RE: Need T-shirt idea
Thanks a gazzilion times FastTadpole! Those links are pure gold! GOLD I SAY! I’m getting ready right now to go and print some out.

For this design i wanted to go a little bad-ass.

""Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable." - John F. Kennedy - I fear a "peaceful revolution" is getting more and more harder to achieve... There will be violent movements in the near future i fear, with this damn crisis.
I'm against violence, and your idea is thought provoking, and i will think of some symbiosis between the anarchy sign and another symbol. I'm more libertarian oriented - a state needs some basic protection for the weak - (unlike in some anarchy where only the darwinian laws apply) but the message of anarchy is more powerful. So i use the anarchy symbol to send the message - i'm against the government, their abuse of power, their stupid laws that take away the basic rights i have over my own body and mind, and everything that has to do with this corrupt system.

"The most dangerous man,to any government, is the man who is able to think things out for himself" - H.L Mencken - We must stop swallowing all the lies like - the state knows whats best for you and drugs are poison Smile

Freedom is the only thing worth living and dying for. Those whom would not fight for freedom have no right to live. - John Adams - Bad-ass...

Anarchy is a good system, the best actually because it is not a system IMO. It just needs a peaceful and moral approach. You're very welcome, but we're all in this together man. My kids really liked the design b the w.

I've studied ethics, two years in my university. The rationalists, the empiricists and ofc the deontologists, but i've came to the conclusion that man is in essence evil and immoral, and only through education (or certain life experiences - rare though) man can truly become human, and without education he is just an animal that will kill you for food , for a mate or something else that he considers of value.
Here is where laws come in place. Not everyone can get well educated, and not everyone can develop empathy (1 to 10% of the population are psychopaths - will kill you without regrets but they don't since they rationalize the consequences) and we need laws for them. A peaceful and moral society based on social norms would be ideological but will always remain utopic. Like J.S. Mill said - man must have full integrity over his mind and body. As long as i don't hurt anyone else or a private or public good, i must be allowed full freedom.
There is a lot to be said here, in short i don't believe in moral anarchy, but its clear that as long as the state will act so parental the citizens will act as children - without responsibility. One must on his own seek education and want to develop intellectually, knowing that this is the only way he could rise and have a decent life, and if he just wants to watch tv and "hang around" - his life, without ambition and determination, will lack of comfort (we also must have - the freedom to fail). But the system is far from being meritocratic, in specially in my pathetic country, where it matters who you know and how low can you go for profit.

Anyway Smile we are in this together since we all agree that the government has too much decision power. The laws are too strict and have a negative effect on the maturity of our society and all this must change - so we will protest with every chance we get! ... and tell your kids i appreciate their appreciation Smile
I have a more colorful version they might enjoy better:

RE: Need T-shirt idea
Good point on the psychopaths I failed to account for that initially believing people were inherently good. There will always be a moral law it just changes as to is asserting it. I feel law should be clear and simple and lay out the consequences up front. Be it by a town or a nation whatever best represents the moral will of the people at any given time. Most of all it should be written for and by the people based on the cultural code of conduct and enforced evenly regardless of wealth, social standing and other system gaming and leveraging tactics that are all too apparent today.

"law" can come from many places in many forms to promote a liberated society. We should learn from history as to what is best and try to think outside the box. It's not one size fits all.

My kids appreciate your appreciation of their appreciation.

well Enteogen i don't mean to distract your T-shirt thread but i can't let this lie:

sure, this is what you will be taught within the western academic system (actually any hierarchical based structure will do the same) and they will roll out their pet philosophers, like Hobbes, Locke, Kant, Mill etc. to justify their arguments, but it is nonsense. history is my witness, for before european imperialism arrived most cultures lived relatively peaceful and harmonic existencies without the need for this so-called education. personally i would recommend Rousseau (whom they detest) if you want an alternative to the establishment line. Rousseau argues man is naturally peaceful ("only hunger stirs him from his laziness") and is corrupted by society, for it is only in society where these passions emerge. (you might find this worth a read: 'the state of war'.)

if you wish to see the truth of this go and live in a community far away from 'civilisation' for a few months. you will see they know very well how to behave towards others, without 'education'. you need association not education to develop empathy. education (mostly) works against empathy because it creates notions of superiority, hence isolation.

(and, Mill is an imperialist tool, he worked for the British in India, suppressing the 'sub-human' natives to enable the theft of their resources.)

the significant problems we face can never be solved
at the level of thinking that created them
