I just figured it out.

Orsen Wells was commissioned by the government or an agency to conduct a feasibility test - the broadcast of War of the Worlds on Oct. 30, 1938. I think it was a feasibility test to see what the public's reaction would be.

After people started to commit suicide, I guess they determined that it probably wasn't a good idea to disclose the UFO reality.

They probably then turned to Hollywood to start a very long campaign of covert disclosure to get us ready for the inevitable. I suppose seeing a movie makes the OK because you can see your favorite starts interacting with aliens, so you know it's not true... but it still preps the mind with the possibility.

It's strange that he was commissioned to write such a terrible story if it was not a likely outcome. This is assuming I'm right about the whole thing being a test and that he was commissioned for the task.

Disclose the UFO reality like all of the lies and suppression of Tesla's work that had much more that the flying ship the elite want us to call UFOs.
People do not believe in aliens any more than pushed to by the elite since the 1940s after WWII. And that was official mind control to secret all of Tesla's work. Orsen Wells and War of the Worlds making people commit suicide didn't fool everyone. So now that you know why we hear of aliens and not Tesla help spread the word.
