Help interpret my dream... please?
I had a dream where I ran into a burning house and i heard a young boy screaming "help me" I found him and then I started to look for my dog, but oddly enough, the house didn't seem to be mine and it definitely didn't look like my place.
Anyone have any ideas on what this means? |

RE: Help interpret my dream... please?
i dont see at all how you could interpret a house on fire as being related to planes being flowing into high rises.

no offence meant. I think dreams are important too.
I wasn't implying your own children, I meant a facet of your ego self. |

Without knowing you at all, the dream could be interpreted in absolutely any way.

RE: Help interpret my dream... please?
Carl Jung believed that your dreams were an attempt for your unconscious to communicate directly with our waking conscious. Because the unconscious is trying to make your aware of something your conscious is 'consciously' suppressing, and because the unconscious precisely is incapable of communicating in an ordered way, the unconscious can only communicate through dream symbolism.
Most likely you already have a pretty good understanding of what the dream means, intuitively, but you talk yourself down from it because some aspect of your left-brained ego-consciousness is offended, threatened or inconvenienced by whatever your unconscious is trying to tell you. Whatever you really think this dream probably means it probably does. That's usually how they work. For any of us to tell you it could take a very long time of getting to know your projection-defended insecurities, psychiatrist style. Peace. &We grow to recognize form. We grow to label that form. RE: Help interpret my dream... please?
I actually have no idea what to think. For me, it was just weird. Especially because I was looking for my dog in a place that wasn't mine. for those that believe in the paranormal, I usually have premonitions, but my regular dreams and premonitions are different because my premonitions are telepathically narrated. So, I hear a voice that tells me what I am seeing.
Thanks for the posts and contributions. |

RE: Help interpret my dream... please?
I have dreams where I'm with friends or family in strange places, but at the time, we seem to be living there, like it's no big deal. Sometimes it's truly bizarre, like the time we were wandering around near our house in a canyon that was miles deep - there were clouds in the canyon! There was a petrified tree trunk sticking out of the side of the canyon that was hundreds of feet wide... crazy stuff, but when I was in the dream, I thought it normal.
Then there was the time I was stuck in a prison cell that was like a hotel room with one little window. When I looked out, I saw I was in a humongous floating building hundreds of miles up in the sky. Apparently I had been living in that room all my life. My cellmate was an alien entity in a box that didn't open, but we could communicate telepathically. Then there was the time I looked in the mirror, and I was a woman...
