now that we have had time with the experiment of turning off reputation:

What positives has happened apart from no one bitching about having a reputation?

thats half the clutter, now if we could wipe out most of the Dribble....

I jest... this was the only site i visit with a user abuse-able system like the one that was here frankly i left the site for like 3 months over it seeing it as not only not required but a method of shaping group think.
Eatdrink007 Glad it's gone.

I'm not actually bothered yet. But it will be annoying to not have ratings for trolls, sometimes it was like a little "heads up, it's like stepping on eggshells with this one", and you could of course try to avoid confrontation.

We will see, I personally don't think it's been long enough to judge yet.

RE: reputation - Melchor - 03-04-2011 10:11 AM

It was useless. Trolls are apparent to savvy web surfers. Rood riddance.

RE: reputation - rsol - 03-04-2011 06:25 PM

ive allready been "rated" in a thread. it continues even without a recordSmile

Do you mean the "Thanks" system? Yea, that's staying.

From me or? So how'd you like it? If it was from me I'm happy I didn't stick it to your forehead. Smile

@rsol: If it was my rating you meant, I think I have deleted the harsh stuff. It was wrong of me. Each one has the right to believe whatever he wants, without others calling names and swearing.

It was a lesson for me anyway. Sometimes you believe so much in your own beliefs that you can't believe that other have other beliefs. Wink

I think people at these kind of places often like all kind of doubters.
