Thanks for the offer, LOL. I'll be a conscientious objector if it goes through, I think I'll just do my time rather than be on the run.

I might go check out Canada, if they'll have me. I drove through BC last year. I loved it. It seemed way less commercialized than the states.

Also the legal precedence has already been established by the Vietnam War. Everyone that went to Canada to avoid the draft was pardoned.

Ha I'm thinking about going to Vancouver too, I've actually been thinking about it for years.

Sounds good.
We'll have an ex-pat ConCen get together in Vancouver and drink and smoke till we pass out.

Last I head, it is illegal to avoid the upcoming draft by moving to canada or mexico. Some sort of new law that was passed a few years ago.

They can't stop you from leaving before you're actually drafted I don't think. I wouldn't really wait around for it.

The proposed North American Union is trying to head off all of that at the pass. If they've taken the time to contrive the laws necessary to establish national conscription, then you can best believe they've fortified it to address specific contingencies such as expatriation. If you're going to leave one best do so BEFORE they implement the draft. But remember this, soon there will be no where to run, this is a GLOBAL system they are constructing. At some point in time you'll have to stand your ground and defend what's yours; both your inherent freedom and your sovereign rights.

Part of me feels I need to stay in the US as fight for truth. But another part of me is saying, "dude, get the fuck out." The problem is that like previously said with the NAU underway they will hunt us down forever in canada.

I am well on my way to fluency in spanish and arabic, and anywhere I go that speaks those languages is gonna have tons of brown booty. So, I am good either way. But, Ive had my sights set on Lebanon for a long time now. Its a shame that beirut doesnt exist anymore.

I'll see you guys in Vancouver, meet me at the Art Gallery steps at 4:20pm, haha.

Did any of you notice this wonderful little passing comment in the article:
Though the two sides agreed to a re-match of the meeting, it is clear they are pretty far apart. The US has been formally warned by Tehran for running spies and saboteurs in Iran's border provinces. There seems little chance than Iranian Revolutionary Guards are going to stop arming and training Shia militants against the British in the Basra sector.

Wonderful that while our trumped up and dubious claims of IRG involvement are commented on as fact and the very real covert involvment in Iran is completely ignored.

I love the media.

And good point, Hei. Fuck the NAU. I'm just hoping that the natural rivalry between Canada and the US will prevent it from happening. Not to mention neither wants any more Mexicans:P
