Several weeks ago on sportsbook.com, a sports gambling site that also covers politics, had Ron Paul listed as a 200-1 shot. Now he's listed as 15-1, and as we know that number will soon approach 1-1. To my mind this is as spin-free and objective a statistic as there is. It's money speaking, not pundits, or supporters like me. He's now 7-1 for winning the Republican nomination.

If interested in watching yourself, visit sportsbook.com, click sportsbook tab at the top, click live odds on the left, the exotics from the tab, and politics are near the bottom.

That's really cool. It definately makes sense that these people would give an accurate assessment of the situation much like how insurance companies figure shit out. They are in the game of keeping their money. For a booky there is no point in saying that a 2-1 is a 3-1, unless they like giving away cash.

Good one!

I agree, we can't doubt in the money sharks assessment of his chances, due to the more important matter of money.

I just wonder if they buy into the actual reality of the political situation within America?

I really can't see the agenda being beaten by a politician with a conscience. Can you? This isn't like sport, it can be manipulated.

What I can appreciate in this news is that we seem to have someone who's speaking for the majority. This has been taken into account with the money men, who are reflecting that difference within the odds. This is the great news in my ear. He's actually having an effect within the media and within the moinds of the people.

If he wins I'll eat my trainers though, honest:)

I hear you, that is a good question, are they factoring in the possiblity that it's rigged? I think just on the number of supporters alone their assessment is correct but the system has proven to be anything but fair. Still I think it's a good thing he's run & good to support his campaign. We need more Ron Paul-minded representatives to infiltrate the system & work towards restoration of liberty.
