Question:
Can mods/admins edit their own posts without the post appearing to have been edited?
I.e. change a post without the "this post has been edited by..." showing?
Further, can mods/admins edit members posts in the same manner?
Not to appear paranoid, but the implications are unsettling to me..
(I think this has been discussed somewhat earlier somewhere on the board, but I can't find that thread now.)
Clarifications appreciated, thank's.

I don't like this as it seems to happen on a regular basis, more or less.
(And, for obvious reasons, I can't provide examples... Doh! )
It's not that it's that important, but it does make a difference in ongoing discussions.
It's like having a frikkin' time-machine! :ouch:
Stop it!

Edit: See what I mean...?
Admins can edit their posts or anyone else's posts without having a timestamp or anything else indicating an edit.
Last time I mentioned this, Ctrl became dissapointed of me for blaming the admims  We came up with the conclusion that it was either a bug or an outside influence, since he checked all the admin logs and found nothing.
Remeber the first post on the Israeli freemasonry that dissappeared?
Quote:There's one that I took down - which I judged on the spot to be abusive and was still working out which buttons to press.are there other posts recently disappeared?
There are reports of posts gone and there are a number of posts that
have been edited (without it showing).
Documentation of this (without doing screenshots every time you log in) is difficult, as you can imagine.

Quote:I lost a few posts a while back but don't suspect any in house tampering whatsoever. As far as I knew, any posts have been edited usually have a comment have the mod saying so..
other than screeshots or saving a quote of yourself for later posting i can't really suggest much..
The admin control panel shows who has edited/deleted posts, it'll be there. ipb software is the big brother of all forum software...;)

In theory... unless someone did it through MySQL directly...but hey, lets not even consider the possibility, lets just point our fingers at admins and suggest they have an axe to grind and work for zionist controlers as DBS has suggested.
I hate reading shit like this... no matter what you say, you're always a suspect. If there was an incriminating post about Israeli freemasons, and Og said it wasn't logged, and I said it wasn't logged, you can safely assume it wasn't bloody logged, given both our thoughts on Israeli's.
And then recently, there's been tampering of the tracker comments too... one more nail in the coffin of this place... I'm truly getting sick of this shit, and the cloud of suspicion.

consider the possibility, nothing is impossible just improbable.

Well, true enuf, but given the subject matter.
Put it this way Ben,... if something critical of Leonardo the retardo Zagami went missing, there's an obvious admin here whose views would render him the prime suspect right?
OTOH, in the case of Israeli's (and related missing post)... both Noel and I have been quite outspoken and made our views plainly known about Israeli's. Where's the motive in example 2? In example 1 it would be obvious.

I see where you're coming from.
Example 2 could be a case of mischievous sabotage whose sole intent was to arouse suspicion and distrust amongst each other. I know it's none of my business, but who held the keys to the mysql database to both the tracker and the forum other than yourself? Also could your hosting company have interfered with mysql? it's a possibility...

Only I have ever had the keys to the forum db... as for tracker... that was done thru web interface with admin privs.. the db is proprietary and built in, not separate like sql is.
