Second, if you know anything about science, you'd know that the output power of a few cell phones is much to small to pop popcorn even if it was focused.

Fair enough, I had some friends over last night and we put our cell phones together as shown in the video and couldn't get anything to happen with the kernels. We tried it in receiving and transmitting modes using 6 phones for 2 minutes and the kernels didn't pop. I took the 4 test kernels and stuck them in the microwave oven and they all popped, so they weren't duds. So cell phones won't pop popcorn.

How long did it take your 2000W microwave oven to pop them?

I bet Drew believed it.

Dud popcorn (great concept!) I am finding harder to chew these days.:)

My 800 watt microwave took 1minute 15 seconds to start , 10 seconds later all 4 had popped. Reddenbacher brand.

Well that is 85 seconds at 800W. Now imagine how long it would take the phones to do that with just a few Milliwatt. You couldn't even hold a ringing phone in your hand if it had anything near that kind of power. It would literally cook the water in your hands!
