Simple enough question. Private poll.
Yes please, it helps in making an informed choice and in seperating the wheat from the chaff IMO.
I think it should be possible also, for moderators to "delete" torrents, as well as "ban" them, the main reason being:

If a user uploads a torrent with a lacking description, and it is banned, someone else who uploads exactly the same torrent (based on a .torrent file with the same infohash, which occurs when the exact same files are used) will be stopped from doing so as long as that .torrent is "banned".

Maybe "banned" torrent could be "auto deleted" after a certain amount of time?

Of course this does not mean the same for things such a zip files, rars, ISO, exe files and crack programs etc.

But it would help enable others to rectify things so material can be uploaded with a proper description.
Bans should be removed for valid torrents which got banned because of some technicality, like lack of description.

There are no torrents that I am aware of that fit that description. If you have some links, please provide them.
"More than Taboo", was banned a day or two ago. I couldn't re-upload it, but then i got new release from 2011 Oct so i uploaded that one instead. What do you mean by links? How could i link to something which was banned & deleted?

You can always see all your uploaded torrents by going here: http://concen.org/tracker/account.php?action=mytorrents which is found on your account page. You can edit the torrent as required and then notify us via PM when it's done. When we unban it you can start seeding. It does not show up on the main page if it is not seeded and is is older than a few minutes.
No, editing was out of the question, because my torrent was deleted before i had a chance to get a response from anyone. It was not my upload which got banned, it was some other torrent, but hash was the same. As a sysop perhaps you can look and remove it, because i can't see that torrent under my uploads, i didn't upload it in the first place.

Only myself or the uploader can delete torrents. Are you sure it wasn't just rejected?

What is the name of this torrent which you claim was deleted? Did you go to your upload page and see that you have a torrent which you claim was banned which is not, merely not seeded?
No it wasn't just rejected, because my re-upload, as i said, was banned with a message about hash id being banned. Ban was never removed, despite being issued for nonsense like lack of description, something which is easily fixed.

Original torrent name i don't know because i didn't upload it, as i said before already.

More info can be found here: http://concen.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=42850

I will ask you again what the name of this torrent is which you say you uploaded but is banned. If you won't answer my questions I cannot help you.
As a sysop you can't view list of bans in the database?! Paste me the list of last 10 or so in the PM and i will look at it. I don't remember exact name or hash id, plus it was not my torrent banned, for the 3rd time.
@yeti, would we somehow be able to do this, if torrents without adequate descriptions are simply removed from the main page until one is provided?

@Armilus, clearly some times it is simple for a mod to get a description and post it, as I have done many times before. But only the other hand I have had more flack for doing so over time than I have had thanks, as some uploaders get extremely sensitive about edits to their material. But for us to do that all the time, every time, is more than a little much to ask.

Maybe we would have a "minimum description length", maybe 200-300 characters. I don't think any come lighter than that, not even the radio shows.
You always try to get along, instead of seeding ideas of destruction and violence. It would be impossible to start wars with people like you, imagine that!

Yes, those are good ideas, i support them.

Obviously, but the point is I was trying to enable you to help yourself.

No need. There are 3 torrents with matching info_hash:

A torrent which only admins and the owner can see, http://concen.org/tracker/torrents-details.php?id=25693 is banned for inadequate description. It has the same info_hash as this torrent http://concen.org/tracker/torrents-details.php?id=25698 which is not banned, but also not seeded.

There is another torrent with the same info_hash http://concen.org/tracker/torrents-details.php?id=25711 which you uploaded (check your list at the link I provided), which is also not banned or seeded.

The TorrentTrader software is crap - it should have prevented anyone from uploading a torrent which has the same info_hash as an already uploaded torrent. In this case it allowed you to upload it but prevented you from seeding. Dumb I know, but we're replacing the TT software ASAP.
