Too many people upload torrents using generic descriptions and leave members in the dark whether the torrent is related to conspiracy or not. Those are reduced to rely on others members having watched the material and giving their opinion on it.
I propose to add a section in the torrent description dialogue where the uploader describes in his own words why he thinks his material is related to conspiracy. That can be two lines, or more if needed. A "conspiracy relevance rating" could be added for the uploader to asses.
This section should be placed first on the page. The uploader would have the option to indicate he didn't watch /read his material before uploading it.
Members would then be able to jauge the seriousness of uploaders.
The Mod team has removed quite a few torrents because of non-compliance with at least a minimal description. Perhaps we're getting a bit slack. If you notice something inadequate give us the heads up and we'll present an ultimatum to the uploader when necessary.
Better Descriptions make for a Better Tracker Community.

Putting out a description doesn't equal relevance to conspiracies.
Uploaders must be forced to explain in simple terms why they uploaded the material and what is the connection to conspiracies, without members having first to go through their uploads.
This is common logic; if you're going through the trouble of uploading material here, let's say of Noam Chomsky, describe in your own words why his work is relevant to this site and what is the main subject of the torrent.
In this case, i would say: "Chomsky argues 911 was caused by Islamists and Kennedy was killed by Oswald."
Members would grasp in a few lines what the relevance to conspiracies is and make the choice of downloading or not in full knowledge.
This goes for books too. How many members upload books supposed to relate to conspiracies they have never opened ?
Why should anyone be allowed to upload material they themselves never went through and call it conspiracy related ?
Ditto for the radio shows; take the time to detail in a few lines the content of the show instead of just telling who the guest is.
I'm not saying ban everything not directly related to conspiracies, but make sure uploaders are honnest about their descriptions.
Honestly if it helps you learn more about yourself or the world it belongs here. That goes with the anything but fiction, software and anything banned.
Relevance to Conspiracy is the general theme of ConCen but it is secondary to it's allowance on the tracker.
Of course it would be helpful, if only categorically, as a service to offer a brief explanation as to how it fits with a certain conspiracy but that should be self evident in any good description.
A lot of times it isn't evident to all as to why something was added such as a How to Build a Robot instructional guide but that does not make it any less welcome to the torrent repository than JFK's Diary.
It is a complex web and we will be categorizing and tagging our lot of torrents to make them more searchable and congruent with researching niche interests by a more intuitive interface to the content.
It's a good suggestion to draw a clear link between the subject matter and the content with original descriptions. It would be a great contribution when submitting a torrent to share, no doubt.
So to those that do this already- we are super thankful for the effort put forth.
To those that don't dedicate a line or two to relevance - work it in if you can.
For those who virtually omit descriptions altogether - you'll be sure to hear from us later or sooner.

A lot of mainstream media is uploaded here at face value with the mainstream spin verbatim inside the description and no other comment by the uploader; it's as he totally agrees with it's content.
I don't really care if the subject isn't directly related to conspiracy; i myself download many material outside the topic; but uploaders shouldn't be allowed to use mainstream descriptions and nothing else, because they very often are misleading and completely irrelevant to their true content.
The solution is very simple; let the uploader use mainstream description if he choses to, but force him to add his own appreciation of the content in a few lines by respect to the community.
He cared so much about his material that he took the time to upload it; surely he can add a few lines of text to give his personal view of it ?
I don't feel this is too much to ask.
Otherwise, i fear this site will turn into another controlled alternative newsspeak that so many run away from.
If the site doesn't like forcing the hand of uploaders to add a personal description, there could be another solution; create two separate upload sections.
The uploader would have the choice of voluntarly adding a personal description and see his material uploaded in the well described torrent section, or he would leave intentionnally the case blank and his upload would automatically go to the missing personal description torrent section.
Nobody would be forced to add a personal description and no torrent would be refused.
The uploaders who really care about their material would see the efforts rewarded by seeing their material added in the better section, and those who spam the tracker or don't really care about their material would get their just reward.
Sounds very fair to me, and not really that hard to implement technically.
duration, video qaulity, release date, and a detailed description is always nice
@burtlancast, I totally agree when we are left not actually knowing what a torrent is. But whether it belongs on concen is not up to an individual, which is why with certain uploads a few people have to decide, rather than it being an outright "that's allowed" or "to be banned" judgement.
I myself have got hold of a huge amount that's not been directly "conspiracy" related, and would like to continue to see such material on the tracker. It would seem that you are with me on that one, going from what you have also downloaded in recent times.

How much shit have you actually ripped here? Thanks to a guy named Yodin (a member here) I had personally spent HUNDREDS OF HOURS simply RECORDING old VHS tapes from the likes of Anthony J Hilder, ANCIENT vids from G Edward Griffen Et. Alia, some going back to the NINETEEN FUCKING SIXTEES!!!! Then I'd have to spend a gazzillion more hours just rendering the video TO MAKE THE TORRENT I could UPLOAD here
