Setting up skype but want to start recoding from it when I do some calls whats the best way for doing this??
bump!

There's an application that works great for this called PrettyMayCall Skype Recorder.
sounds good Tri, look forward to that!

you can use sound forge or wavelab and just record the output of the speakers or audacity which is free. you just have to set it to the correct sound card in the options and then set it to stereo mix.
yep. i would use sound forge.
Audacity has great quality and its less bloatware than soundforge
the beta version also supports many vst effects plugins too
so you can have some fun with it whilst recording and playing music
in the background. I use it quite a lot and it has never failed me ever.
I am sure that nik would concur that MX Skype Recorder is the absolute best, it is what I use.
yes, i would agree with that, it is definitely very user friendly - i like it's no nonsense, no frills, ease of recording.
I shall definitely not be searching for an alternative to it at this time.

And another one now increasingly known, the free mp3directcut (Windows) which can record likewise as well as edit -all to mp3 not first via wav.
And for those important calls - also output to tape recorder
