I know Mike you can't do much, but feck sake, you need a 4 foot wide screen to get all the fields in
When are we getting TT ?
And leechers can say good-bye

No problem here:D, the tracker works just fine at 1400px on Firefox.
As to a private tracker; it might be counterproductive as the Torrents will not be spread anymore on Mininova, etc. -- I thought you want to spread the word...
NP here either..... 21 inches of 1600x 1200.
It's not as bad for others as you however Oggy.
Remember that you see the extra columns of "delete" "IP address" and such the others just don't see. While it's annoying to us, the others can't see it anyhow.
I have the same "problem", I can't see the last two colums in the same screen, but I reckon all the columns are actually needed, so to fix that a possible solution would be to limit the number of letters of the torrent name or title (or allowing it to split on two rows in the same cell, after a fixed number of letters is reached).
I don't know if you can do that, but you could also move the link column near the dl culumn, to allow people with low res to access the discussion without scrolling horizontally, increasing also visibility to the forum and lowering the amount of times people have to scroll the page to the right.
I can remove columns such as: name, files (count), completed, transfered, date added and also the uploader's name, but I cannot change the order itself as that's hardwired into the track-ware.
Files column can be removed as the file count is shown when you click the torrent name anyhow, but that's a really narrow column and would make only a miniscule difference.
I can't really remove "completed" because that's of interest to the uploader and indicative of the success of the torrent. I also can't remove "size" as that's necessary info for downloaders. About the only thing I could remove is "transfered" since size multiplied by completed can compute the transfered stats.
I'll give it a shot next restart of the tracker.
Let's worry about that when we have a Year's money to pay for our great tracker and if one more shite says drop the tracker ....................
Cyber say's she's starting one. Hosted by Rob (z) no doubt. Can we stay alive in the face of that? I really wonder about it. In my life's experience people don't really have loyalty to anything that's replicated.
For example, I could buy gas for my car at BP, Shell, Exxon etc etc and stick to one chain, but I don't. I just fill up at the nearest station. The same will go for torrents.... but if a gas station gave away gas for free, where would you fill up?
Then just do what CR has been doing. Have our users use it and then post the torrents in the seeding section.:P
Well I took out some columns. I bet nobody even noticed.
