Hi guys.
I am sure most of you know not to open unsolicited attachments for the obvious reasons.
However, there is a major attack on the internet in spam mail with subject lines that may interest people and current news events.
Here are two examples from my email.....
Date: Fri, 19 Jan 2007 18:48:38 -0800
From: "Adams Caroline" <qqk@svokon.nl> Add to Address Book
To: alpha0102@btopenworld.com
Subject: Sadam Hussein safe and sound!
Attachment. Full_Story.exe (26k)
Date: Sun, 21 Jan 2007 13:09:37 +0700
From: "Benson Archie" <ies@xroniapolla.com> Add to Address Book
To: alpha0102@btinternet.com
Subject: Russian missle shot down USA satellite
Attachment. Full_News.exe (31k)
Other attachments are named Video.exe, Read More.exe, Full Clip.exe.
Spread the word, this is likely recruiting host PC's for a denial of service botnet as well as ripping financial details etc.
It is all over the place, apparently a new virus that AV's may not deal with for a couple of days yet, apparently.
