Quote:Legalize Marijuana!
Although as stated, I don't condone drug usage I would however agree with this statement. As you mentioned, people are going to prison and in some instances lengthy offenses for minor possession. We have a military industrial complex and we now have the prison industrial complex. Serious job growth provided by tax payers expense. It's a business, make no mistake about it.
Additionally we have just over 7,000,000 incarcerated adults. That's 1 in 32 people!, We have over 2-million in our prisons. Now lets think about that number for a moment. It's more prisoners than China has in their prisons and there are more people in prison than there are people working in agriculture. (1.9million)
That's f'd up.
I would rather stoner's didn't drive while stoned as much as I would prefer the same for those who are intoxicated on their prescription drug. I don't drink either, so I'm not taking sides about marijuana/alcohol. In fact I think prescription drugs and alcohol are worse health wise.
Ultimately, as much as I don't like marijuana, I support legalization. Maybe then it would lose some of it's appeal and less would smoke it and our prisons would be less full.

As you may have guessed Jack, I was being sarcastic and totally agree with your statement.
Things are getting more ridiculous by the day in this country. I think this "keep people safe" shit is and has been going over-board for some time. I'm also seeing this police state mentality filter down to the people, at work, and in society. 1984 is here and it may get worse until we start pointing out the ridiculousness of it all to people with half a brain.

Geez, where did that idiot learn his chemistry?
When I was 19 I was selling coke. (I did a brief stint in prison for it at age 21)
After a few months doing a line was passe, so I began to to cook up rocks instead.
I was a terrible cook with baking soda. It requires that the blow, water and soda all
be in the proper proportion. It also leaves crud around the edge of the spoon, test-tube
or whatever you cook it in.
It's much easier to use ammonia as the catalyst, and proportions don't matter, the rock will
congeal anyhow... without the crud which is held in the solution.
Will they ban ammonia now? Or require ID to buy it?
If so, they better ban bleach too, because ammonia and bleach mixed together give off a
toxic gas, hence it is the poor terrorists gas weapon....
[edit] Oh yeah, they better require ID to buy gas-line antifreeze too, (methyl hydrate) it cleans out crack
pipes very well, so you don't get busted for used "paraphenalia".

If they just did a blanket legalization of drugs nothing would change except less people would be in prison. It's a well-known fact that the percentage of people who abuse drugs (in the US) has remained a nearly constant 1.7% of the population since BEFORE criminalization almost 80 years ago to today.
Crackheads smoke crack regardless of how severe the law is and the drug is EVERYWHERE.
Heroin addicts existed a long fucking time ago and the law hasn't detered them much either.
As far as needing ID to buy baking soda, what, crackheads don't have IDs? Not to mention that its not baseheads that cook it. It's profiteers that make their living off of crackheads.
As far as legalizing weed, it has to be done. It's not going to make more people smoke it. Every kid has an opportunity to smoke chron whether its legal or not. They'd probably make the same decision regardless. Not that I'd believe the government would give us a fair deal anyway. (Shitty, contaminated corporate grown weed combined with severe 10-20 year sentences for "freelance" growers is my predicition.)
As far as driving stoned? I have logged well over 100,000 miles stoned off my ass and I've never had an at fault crash. The law says so but when you have an out of control drunk passenger that grabs the wheel and sends you into the ditch that's hardly my fault. Friendly warning to people who want to be designated drivers for the night...
Fact of the matter is stoners drive slowly and safely. It's scary to drive 70 mph high as hell!

When I was underage it was easier to get weed that alcohol. You had to find someone who was 21 and willing to break the law, where as marajuana could be bought out of a locker between classes. I have no idea why.

You are more likely to smoke weed in the UK where it is illegal than Holland where it is legal.
THe only way to defend jailing pot users is to call Holland a drugged up hellhole (as many do).
From the above statistic this is obviously bollocks!

Quote:And no, don't legalize marijuana. We don't need more disillusionment.
I find that cheeba removes people's ability to mask their mental deficiencies... ie. smoke weed and act like an idiot can only happen if the person is an idiot to begin with. Many people smoke for enlightenment, because that's what they desire....

We can't forget about the rampant use of tin foil and lightbulbs by tweekers. Better show ID for those too. o-O Thanks government for helping us. We're not worthy.:kneelsuckers:

Bit late, they're privitizing water. Like the Great Lakes, now privately owned. Wonder how canada feels about that? In Tn it is illegial to collect rainwater. Go figure.
I don't smoke weed or drink anymore but putting someone in prison for doing it? Then again, prisons are being sold to the private sector, free labor.
