Hey, greetings and salutations. I have had a bitch of a time, not only learning how to CREATE a torrent, but now that I got that straight, I have NO success uploading to ConCen. WTF am I doing ALL WRONG? When it says upload the .torrent file, I assume it means the small Kb .torrent file. Correct? OK, then, it asks you to download that, and then seed for 24 hrs. Ok, so I tried that, it DID not work. I then uploaded the Video file, received no acknowledgement thereof. I have quite abit to SHARE, in the community interest, but this is driving me insane!!!

HELP, anybody?????:scream:
Put the file your trying to share in the folder where your downloaded torrent files go make the torrent upload the torrent then download the torrent that should be it.I like to save my incomplete torrents and complete torrent in the same place. Also you can point the torrent to the data you have on most torrent programs I think but have not used a lot of torrent programs recently.

Info would be good like which torrent program your running so others can help. Also if no one is downloading you can't seed.I'm sure you get this just trying to cover the bases. Is a router port open if you have a router also some firewalls you have to open a port to torrent.Who is your net provider(don't need to know)search on google to see if your ip blocks torrent seeding or bit torrent .

Where you able to down load from the tracker?

It sounds like you're client is trying to save the files where the originals don't reside.

COPY the files you want to seed to your BT client's normal download folder, THEN open the torrent, SAVE to the same location.
Your client will then see you've got the files and begin seeding.
Thanks for feedback, gentlemen. I'm using uTorrent 1.8.3, WinXP. But my problem still remains. The 'upload a torrent page' on ConCen gives you a browse option, for the torrent file, which is still elusive to me as whether or not it is the WHOLE shebang, or just the small, few kb's .torrent "file". What happens is that, when I browse, I select my FOLDER to upload, it will not, just individually what is IN the folder, so I guess I may have to try a new tactic. A torrent not IN any folder, just by itself, which is fine. I have NO probs. w/the .NFO files. Can make my own lovely custom ones. Big deal, right? Actually, there are showing on ConCen my goods, but with uTorrent, there is no way (that I know of) to bring BACK in what was already seeding. I recently had been using VUZE, which is too much fluff, and not enough function. I was getting pretty good with it, until it came time to make the leap to CREATE a torrent. Long twisted, disjointed story short, I THRASHED the Vuze client and went to uTorrent, on the advise of a frequent and successful uploader, who now happens to be a great friend. I guess I need "UPLOADING TORRENTS FOR DUMMIES", step-by-simple-step, so that I can finally "see the light". I am terribly sorry about this, guys. I know this is pathetic. But I need to get this INFO on there, out there!!!!!!:drunk:

upload the .torrent file, download it back from the tracker. Open the torrent, "save as" where the files really reside...

It doesn't get any simpler than that.
Start over with a clean slate.
If the torrent you tried to seed is on the tracker but does not show on the public pages it may be because you haven't seeded it.
Go to "Your Account", (the button underneath your avatar), and look at "My Torrents" to see if that is the case.
If it is the case then delete that torrent.
Then go to the folder where you store your actual bit torrent files and delete all the torrents you made for the particular file you were trying to upload. Make sure that you get them all.
Then boot up Utorrent, if it shows the file you tried to upload sitting there with a 0 download and no seeders right click it and select "remove and" then select "torrent".
This should have gotten rid of the mistakes you made.
Now you need to create a new torrent. Click "file" on Utorrent and select "Create new torrent". Select "add file" and browse to the actual file you want to upload and select it.
Under that there is a Torrent Properties section with a Trackers: box, make sure it has "http://tracker.conspiracycentral.net/announce" as the first tracker listed, without the " " marks of course. If it doesn't have it there, type it in.
Under the Other section, make sure that the "Start Seeding" box is selected.
Then click "Create and save as", remember where you store this bit torrent file cause you will need it in the next step.

Now go to the ConCen tracker page and click "Upload Torrent", the first entry is for the Torrent File that you just created, browse to where you stored it and select it.
Next is for your NFO if you have one, browse to it and select it.
Next you can name the file if you want to.
Next you can add a couple of images if you want to.
Next you have to select a category for the torrent.
Next you select the language that the uploaded file is in.
Then, finally, you add a description if you didn't include an NFO .
Then click "Upload Torrent" and wait for the next page to appear. When it does it will have a "Download ..." link, click it. That should do it.
Wow, yipee, Just had to post I've finally had success and uploaded my first ever torrent. And you know, it was easy, but only after realising one had to create a torrent initially. I was trying to upload the avi file itself.
My success is all due to you guys explaining how to accomplish this feat in infinite detail.
Thanks...
Jewels
Have just been advised my torrent was unsuccessful. Back to the drawing board !! What a let down.
